ABOUT RINA

“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way – things I had no words for.”
– Georgia O’Keeffe

Art has always been part of my life. My first museum visit was with my mom when I was just six months old. I grew up in Ukraine, where my love for color, symbolism, and visual storytelling took root. When I immigrated to the United States as a teenager and found myself in Brooklyn with limited English, art became my language—a way to make sense of everything new and unfamiliar.

My academic path reflects my wide-ranging interests: a B.S. in Business Management and Finance, an M.A. in Art History, and a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. These different fields continue to shape both how I create and how I connect with others.

Since my first solo exhibition in 2004, I’ve shown work in Soho, Tribeca, and beyond. I paint in oil and acrylic, experiment with mixed media and digital formats, and treat each piece as a reflection of something internal -an emotion, a question, a memory.

Alongside my art, I work as an executive coach. I help people understand their strengths, navigate change, and grow into the leaders they want to become. My clients range from entrepreneurs to senior executives, and our work often blends the strategic with the deeply personal.

I also use my art to give back. Many of my exhibitions support nonprofit causes, especially in the areas of environmental restoration and community resilience. Creating beauty with purpose is what drives me—on the canvas and in my work with others.
